Adamantinoma on Tibia -A case Report-

Abstract

|
We have experienced a case of histopathologically diagnosed adamantinoma of tibia that rarely reported primary lesion having trends to grow slowly, developed in 35-year-Male in diaphyseal region, previously misdiagnosed as chronic osteomyelitis in other clinic without histologic examination. Histopathological finding revealed presense of the epithelial cell nests showing basaloid cystic arrangement and variable patterns including focal keratizing squamous cells, individual small cornified pearls, thin trabecular or reticulated pattern of solid tumor cells and intervening cell less fibrous stroma, pseudoglandular or vascular neoplastic appearenced with mild to moderate dysplasia and mot rare mitosis. Above-knee amputation was performed, but the patient died with pulmonary embolisim shortly after the operation.
